I find your lack of charity to be a problem in your argument. You are forgetting to note the Jesuits who are also collaborators of the Pope. Perhaps the dialectical tension inherent in faith and in the church itself, as described by Cardinal Martini, is a better metaphor here than conservativeness, power mongering, repression, etc. that you seem to interpret the world with. Could not the pope really be "both, and"? I think he is - but then you would probably just say that I'm ignorant and not intellectual enough - even though I'm a Ph.D. and product of a Jesuit education. Charity would become you more in your arguments - some of the truth you do uncover would be more likely to bear fruit. As it is you come across as a crank.
