Thanks for posting this very informative article. Definitely the best Japan blog on the web.

One thing, however: I don't think it's fair to describe Zizek as the "Rambo of postmodernism." I think his project (along with that of Fred Jameson and other Marxist critics) is, if anything, a sustained attack on "postmodern" philosophy in an effort to de-relativize ethics and revive the old dead concepts like "universality" "totality" and "the absolute." In this sense, Zizek clearly positions himself against "weak thought" postmodernists such as Lyotard and Deleuze.
