I heard news that the Vatican has recently reversed the decision by the Japanese Conference of Catholic Bishops to suspend the Neocatechumenal Way.
Do you have any insight regarding why this happened. What were the bishops objections in the first place?

Spirit of Vatican II

The Neocatechumate was a divisive force in the diocese that unwisely let them in. Litigation was rife. Their personnel are rejects of European seminaries. I don't know much more than that.

The bishops went to huge efforts to have Rome budge on this, and were delighted when they succeeded at last; the other Asian episcopal conferences were astonished and envious, because Rome hates to budge. Alas, their triumph was short-lived.
